Technical setup in the Department of Environment
The purpose of this scheme is to provide infrastructural facilities in the Department of Environment, Govt. of Delhi to handle the increasing workload on pollution issues. Department of Environment, Govt. of Delhi, is taking effective and coordinated measures for controlling pollution with limited facilities. The workload of Environment Department has increased manifolds during last few years due to implementation of various Environmental Acts and Rules and implementation of policies, on behalf of Govt. of Delhi, and also the National Environmental Policies, Govt. of India. The plan aims to provide sufficient backup facilities for effective implementation and monitoring of various programmes undertaken by the department.

This scheme focuses to augment the overall performance and functioning capabilities, as well as the ability to cope with emerging pollution problems. It aims to evolve a system to address various levels of environment management capacities and ensure proper co-ordination and liaisoning with different government and private implementing agencies as well as with the citizens in general The objective of the scheme is to fulfill the expectations of the public for aclean environment and timely redressal of the increasing number of the environment related complaints by strengthening the department not only in terms of manpower but also to equip it with modern tools to manage the demanding situation. . |
